Socio-economic perspective on women on boards: an African perspective

To facilitate development and foster opportunities for women enterpreneurs, not only in Africa, local institutions need to strengthened  in terms of gender and equality-focused practice. The equal society, regardless of methodological nuances, in encompassed with non-discrimination, equal treatment and equal opportunities (McCrudden and Prechal, 2009).

This publication includes parallel and independent analysis carried out on two levels: companies level and regional level. The examination applies a down-to-top model, in other words, the analysis is commenced from the studies on actions and strategies at the level of companies and then at the level of the region.
